LATAM Airlines Group will introduce the Embraer E195-E2 into commercial service in Brazil in November 2026, with up to 12 aircraft due by year-end as the first stage of a wider domestic expansion. Sales open on 5 August, and the initial rollout will cover 42 domestic routes, including eight new routes and four new destinations: Cabo Frio, Ji-Paraná, Macaé and Rondonópolis.
The narrowbody regional jet is set to support LATAM’s plan to extend its Brazilian domestic network to 67 destinations, up from 44 in 2019. The airline is also assessing up to 18 further destinations for a second phase in 2027, as it looks to improve connectivity in thinner markets and grow its presence beyond the main trunk routes.
The E195-E2 will also bring premium economy to the Brazilian unit’s fleet, aligning the aircraft’s cabin and range with LATAM’s strategy to serve secondary cities more efficiently. External reports have varied on the broader first-phase ramp, with some referring to up to 14 aircraft, but the year-end target remains 12 units.
