UrbanV plans five vertiports for São Paulo area

UrbanV is preparing a five-site vertiport network in the São Paulo area to support future eVTOL air-taxi operations, laying what it describes as the basis for Brazil’s first such infrastructure system. The initial locations include Campo de Marte Airport, Alphaville Heliport, the World Trade Center Hotel Sheraton Heliport, São Paulo Expo and Santos Convention Center.

The project brings together PAX Aeroportos, Helicenter/Ponte Aérea and GL events, with institutional support from São Paulo Negócios and the city government. ENGIE Energy Solutions is handling the electrical assessment, reflecting the importance of grid capacity and charging infrastructure in advanced air mobility deployment.

UrbanV is positioning São Paulo as an early market for electric vertical take-off and landing services, using existing aviation and venue assets to build a route network rather than a single standalone site. The sites are being evaluated for commercial readiness, but the plan does not yet indicate construction start, operating launch or regulatory clearance for passenger service.
