Norse Atlantic Airways and IndiGo have agreed to end their ACMI partnership on 1 November 2026, bringing a six-aircraft Boeing 787 arrangement to a close after about 18 months. One jet had already been scheduled to return at the end of August following IndiGo’s Manchester route closure, while the remaining five will be redelivered as the wider agreement winds down.
The move affects long-haul flying between India and Europe, including IndiGo’s Manchester service and other European routes operated with Norse aircraft. Elevated fuel prices, Middle East airspace disruptions and longer routings have weakened the commercial case for the programme. Norse is also initiating a strategic review, a step that will be closely watched by investors and route planners as the carrier reassesses capacity deployment and its wider network strategy.
