Bell helicopter deliveries rise as Q2 revenue climbs and profit slips

Bell’s second-quarter revenue rose 6% year over year to $1.1 billion, powered by higher military volumes on H-1 and MV-75 work and firmer pricing in commercial helicopters, parts and services. Commercial deliveries increased to 36 from 32 a year earlier, but segment profit eased 6% to $75 million as program performance and military mix offset lower R&D spending. Backlog ended the quarter at $7.5 billion, leaving the business with solid production visibility even as margin pressure persisted. For Textron, Bell remains a clean read on rotorcraft demand, defense throughput and pricing discipline across a mixed-cycle portfolio.
