ANA orders eight more Embraer E190-E2s for Japan domestic network

ANA Holdings has added eight more Embraer E190-E2s, taking its firm commitment to the type to 23 aircraft when combined with the 15 ordered in February 2025. The latest board-approved tranche is valued at about ¥105 billion and is scheduled for delivery in fiscal 2029 through 2032, aligning capacity with shifting domestic demand and ANA’s new operating partnership model with IBEX Airlines. ANA will handle network planning and sales, while IBEX operates the flights, with the E190-E2 forming the common platform for the arrangement. The move extends ANA’s regional fleet reset around a 100-seat jet with better trip-cost and fuel burn economics than larger narrowbodies on thin Japanese domestic sectors.
