Bird Aviation has locked in a seven-year heavy maintenance contract with easyJet, with an option to run for three more years. The agreement covers two maintenance lines for Airbus A320-family checks at Bird Aviation’s Larnaca facility, giving easyJet a fixed base-maintenance slot while extending a relationship that already spans multiple seasons. The work anchors scheduled heavy maintenance in Cyprus and reinforces Larnaca’s position as a narrow-body MRO node. Bird Aviation says the structure gives both sides capacity certainty and a stable planning horizon, a useful counterweight to AOG pressure, winter peaks and fleet-utilisation swings across easyJet’s network.
