Korea Aerospace Industries and Embraer signed an MOU in São Paulo on 28 July to turn a supplier tie-up into a broader civil aviation partnership. The scope now covers commercial aircraft, structures and future aerospace technologies, with both sides set to examine joint R&D, design, engineering, manufacturing and quality control. KAI already supplies wing structures and eVTOL components for Embraer, so the pact formalises an existing industrial link while opening the door to co-development and manufacturing optimisation. The companies have not disclosed detailed terms, but the move extends their work beyond parts supply toward technology sharing and long-cycle programme collaboration.
