Transat Secures Up to C$150 Million Under Canadian Airline Liquidity Program

Transat A.T. has closed a financing agreement for up to C$150 million under Ottawa’s Liquidity for Airline Sector Resilience Facility, with C$125 million drawn at closing and the balance available in monthly tranches. The Montreal-based Air Transat parent said the four-year loan carries 3.91% annual interest and is sized against the added fuel-cost burden through 31 October 2026 versus the same period last year. The facility gives Transat liquidity as jet-fuel inflation continues to pressure airline margins, and the structure limits additional borrowing to the amount needed to offset that shock.
