Virgin Atlantic to sell Joby eVTOL flights in UK network

Virgin Atlantic will sell Joby Aviation eVTOL flights in the UK after the two companies finalised a binding, multi-year commercial agreement. Virgin Atlantic becomes Joby’s exclusive airline partner in the market, with booking embedded in its app and website while Joby keeps aircraft operations, route management and regulatory approvals. Initial hubs are planned for London Heathrow and Manchester Airport, with concepts for Heathrow to central London in about eight minutes and Manchester to Leeds in about 15. The deal turns an airline tie-up into a distribution channel for urban air mobility, but passenger service still depends on certification and other approvals.
