beOnd to invest US$20 million in new premium cabins for Airbus A321 fleet

beOnd has announced a US$20 million investment in a new premium cabin product for its Airbus A321 fleet, in an agreement with Italian seat-maker Optimares. The project covers four complete shipsets and 256 bespoke lie-flat seats for four incoming A321 aircraft.

The aircraft are currently being prepared for entry into the airline’s fleet. beOnd said the retrofit programme is intended to keep the onboard product consistent as the carrier expands, while the seats are designed exclusively for its all-premium cabin concept with lie-flat comfort, ergonomic design and enhanced privacy.

The airline described the spending as one of its largest passenger-experience investments since launch. The new cabins are tied to beOnd’s broader growth plans across Europe and other international markets, alongside an expanding premium leisure network.
