The forecast, released as the 2026 Commercial Market Outlook in Farnborough, England, anticipates the global fleet growing approximately 80 percent to over 50,000 aircraft by 2045 as passenger traffic doubles. Nearly half of these deliveries will replace older jets, while the remainder supports fleet expansion, with single-aisle jets accounting for 33,545 units. Boeing also forecasts a $4.9 trillion support and services market and demand for 2.4 million new aviation personnel over the two-decade period.
