Allegiant Air has signed an exclusive 12-month agreement with Expedia Group, becoming the first U.S. major airline to authorize an online travel agency for flight distribution. This deal ends Allegiant’s long-standing OTA holdout, allowing bookings across Expedia.com and all Expedia Group U.S. brands including Hotels.com and Hotwire. The partnership covers 566 routes spanning 124 domestic cities, granting Expedia 100% coverage of all U.S. commercial passenger airlines. Allegiant Chief Commercial Officer Drew Wells stated the move enables access to new audiences via Expedia’s global platform while preserving the airline’s value-focused model. No other OTA will be authorized during the exclusivity window, marking a definitive shift in Allegiant’s distribution strategy from direct-only channels to third-party OTA integration.
