Air China Orders 15 A350-900s and Shenzhen Airlines 40 A320neo for $12.4B List Price

Air China has secured a firm order for 15 A350-900 widebodies while its subsidiary Shenzhen Airlines acquires 40 A320neo narrowbodies, totaling 55 aircraft at a list price of $12.4 billion. The deal, announced via a Shanghai Stock Exchange filing on 17 July 2026, requires shareholder and Chinese government approval before becoming effective. Deliveries for the A320neo fleet are scheduled between 2029 and 2032, with the A350-900s arriving from 2030 to 2032. Airbus will grant substantial price concessions, meaning the final transaction value falls below the $6.09 billion A350 and $6.35 billion A320neo list valuations. Air China funds the purchase through own funds and bank loans, while Shenzhen Airlines utilizes internal funds and commercial financing.
