Embraer officially delivered the first C-390 Millennium multi-mission transport aircraft to the Czech Air Force on 16 July 2026, just 20 months after the acquisition agreement was signed on 25 October 2024. The handover ceremony at Prague-Kbely Air Base marks the Czech Republic as the fourth country operating the C-390, following Brazil, Portugal, and Hungary. The aircraft, designated locally as KCV-390, delivers a 26-ton payload capacity, 470-knot cruise speed, and integrated hose-and-drogue aerial refueling, resolving long-standing tactical airlift gaps. The CZK 11.3 billion contract covers two aircraft, with the second scheduled for delivery by December 2027. Full operational status is expected by late July 2026.
