Skyports Infrastructure, UI Helicopter Co., Ltd., and BETA Technologies formalized a strategic Memorandum of Understanding on 15 July 2026 to establish the infrastructure and operational framework for commercial electric air taxi services in South Korea. The tripartite alliance, signed during K-UAM Confex 2026 in Seoul, integrates vertiport development, local MRO capabilities, and electric aircraft manufacturing to support the government’s 2029 Advanced Air Mobility target. Under the MoU, UI Helicopter agreed to acquire up to 20 BETA aircraft, including the ALIA A250 and CX300 variants, with initial deliveries targeted from 2029. Skyports will deploy rapid charging infrastructure using BETA equipment to support the future fleet, creating the foundational building blocks for the region’s first commercial AAM services.
