Parts trader Setna iO has secured a second Airbus A320neo from Spirit Airlines for teardown at AerSale’s Goodyear, Arizona facility, confirming a rapid shift toward neo-family part-outs following the carrier’s second Chapter 11 bankruptcy in late 2025. This acquisition, confirmed 10 July 2026, follows the firm’s first A320neo teardown purchase earlier in the month and marks Setna iO’s inaugural US-based neo narrowbody dismantling program. The aircraft, described as almost new with limited service life, will be disassembled to recover high-value components for global distribution to operators, lessors, and MROs. While A321neos from Spirit are being resold, the A320neos face accelerated liquidation, with over 70% of Spirit’s Airbus fleet moved to Arizona storage and now entering the teardown pipeline rather than remaining idle.
