Alaska Airlines has elected Shane Tackett to serve as president and chief financial officer, extending his remit beyond finance into fleet, IT and the commercial organisation. The move takes effect on 29 June 2026 and keeps him on the executive committee, reporting to chief executive Ben Minicucci.
Tackett has more than 25 years with the carrier across finance, strategy, commercial and labour relations, giving Alaska a veteran operator at the centre of its post-Hawaiian integration and Alaska Accelerate plan. The promotion preserves continuity at the top while concentrating more operating authority in one seat.
