Technip Energies, Airbus, Safran and Tereos are forming Rebound, a joint venture to develop a sustainable aviation fuel plant at the Port of Dunkirk in northern France.
The project targets about 160,000 tons of Alcohol-to-Jet SAF a year, putting it among the largest planned SAF facilities in Europe. Technip Energies will lead development and engineering, Tereos will supply advanced ethanol feedstock, and Airbus and Safran will act as industrial partners and potential offtakers. The partners are tying the supply chain from residue-based ethanol to jet fuel under a European-led structure built to support energy sovereignty and aviation decarbonisation.
The venture remains subject to customary closing conditions and approvals, with completion expected in the second half of 2026. The next milestone is execution, not intent.
