Qatar Airways has introduced new onboard signature music composed in partnership with Hans Zimmer. The five-track album, Burgundy Symphony, was unveiled in Doha on 6 November and is available to passengers from that day. Its launch coincided with Zimmer’s concert in the Qatari capital. The airline has not specified which flights or stages of the passenger journey will feature the music.
The bespoke album comprises Dawn, Dusk, The Orchard, Homecoming and An Ode to Qatar. Its themes draw on travel, Qatar and the country’s culture; The Orchard takes inspiration from the indoor garden at Hamad International Airport. The tracks are also available on the airline’s YouTube channel.
The composition adds original music to Qatar Airways’ onboard experience, but details of its operational rollout were not provided. The airline described Burgundy Symphony as an expression of its sound identity.
