Romanian airline AnimaWings has extended the suspension of all scheduled flights through 31 December 2026, replacing its previous plan to keep services paused until 15 November. The extension follows the approval of insolvency proceedings for Anima Wings Aviation S.A. by the Bucharest Tribunal on 28 October. The airline has not provided a date for resuming flights after the suspension ends.
The proceedings are being conducted under the supervision of a court-appointed judicial administrator. Operational decisions and existing obligations are to be addressed within the legal process. AnimaWings is communicating with affected passengers through its official channels, but its notice did not give route-by-route cancellation details or specify arrangements for individual services.
The carrier had previously cited repeated technical problems. AeroTelegraph reported that six of its eight aircraft were initially taken out of service before the remaining flights were cancelled. The latest extension keeps all scheduled operations suspended for the rest of the year; it does not establish whether flights will restart in January 2027.
