Airbus-owned Skywise is bringing the MATe Suite, Virtual Procedure Trainer (VPT) and Flight eLearning into its digital-services portfolio. The products will use a Skywise hosting platform designed to simplify registration and access management for training managers, operators and pilots. Airbus says the transition will preserve service continuity and avoid disruption to existing deployments. The integration gives Skywise’s broader aviation-services offer a digital flight-training component for pilots preparing for type-rating and recurrent training.
MATe Suite is a cloud-based, self-paced training tool for the A320, A330 and A350 families. It combines interactive 3D cockpit familiarisation with system-knowledge modules and tools for assessing progress. VPT supports procedure practice on mobile devices and in virtual reality, using an interactive cockpit with controls for rehearsing Airbus procedures before simulator sessions. The announcement provided few details about Flight eLearning.
The portfolio expansion follows the creation of Skywise earlier in 2026 through the merger of Navblue and Skywise Digital Solutions, part of Airbus’s reorganisation of its digital businesses. Skywise chief executive Marc Lemeilleur described the integration as a way to bring the three training products onto a common platform and make cockpit learning available earlier in a pilot’s training. No pricing, rollout schedule or customer numbers were disclosed, and Airbus did not specify whether existing customers need to take action.
