Boeing and aircraft lessor Icelease have agreed to convert one 767-300 into a Boeing Converted Freighter, with options for two additional aircraft. The conversion is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2027, and Boeing expects to deliver the first freighter in the second quarter. Work will take place at ST Engineering’s airframe maintenance facilities in Singapore.
The converted aircraft is intended for the managed cargo fleet of IAT Leasing, Icelease’s Dublin-based sister company. That portfolio includes seven 737-800 Boeing Converted Freighters and other freighters leased to customers. No end customer or operating routes have been identified for the 767.
The companies signed the agreement at the Cargo Facts Symposium on 22 October; Boeing disclosed the deal on 2 November. The firm conversion adds to the 767-300BCF programme, while the two options provide scope for further business.
Boeing lists the 767-300BCF’s range at 3,300 nautical miles with a 57-tonne payload.
