Satair signs 10-year material services deal with Sabena Technics

Airbus subsidiary Satair will provide its Integrated Material Services (IMS) programme to independent MRO provider Sabena Technics under a 10-year agreement. The service covers planning, on-site stock availability and obsolescence management for consumable and expendable parts used in maintenance of Airbus aircraft. The companies did not disclose the contract value, aircraft types covered, implementation date or service locations.

The arrangement gives Sabena Technics long-term support for planning parts requirements and maintaining stocks for its Airbus fleet maintenance activity. IMS combines material planning with the availability of parts at the maintenance site, while also addressing components that become obsolete.

Satair supplies aviation parts and services as part of the Airbus group. Sabena Technics provides maintenance, repair and overhaul services; the agreement’s specific operational scope and locations have not been detailed.
