Unverified images circulating online appear to show a full-size COMAC CE-25A electric-aircraft demonstrator, but they do not confirm a new aircraft announcement or establish that the aircraft has flown. The red-and-black aircraft carries COMAC and CE-25A markings and what appears to be the Chinese registration B-0EFH. Its location and the date the photographs were taken are unknown, and COMAC had not publicly commented on them in the reporting reviewed.
The CE-25A was presented by COMAC in Shanghai in November 2023 as a 19-seat, all-electric commuter aircraft intended for short- and medium-distance routes and business aviation. Published design targets included a range of about 400 to 500 km and a cruising speed of roughly 400 km/h. The concept uses ten electrically driven ducted fans integrated into its wings.
COMAC referred in 2023 to verification-flight work with a scaled demonstrator. Whether that work is related to the aircraft shown in the images is unclear. The photographs also do not establish whether the apparent full-size aircraft is flight-capable or a ground demonstrator. Image-analysis assessments reported no major signs of AI generation, but this does not independently verify their authenticity. No certification, production or commercial-service timeline has been established.
