Virgin Atlantic will take delivery of another Airbus A330neo in early September and name the aircraft Champagne Supernova. The twinjet, registered G-VMAN, is linked to Manchester and Virgin Atlantic’s long presence in the city, where the carrier is marking 30 years of flying in 2026. The aircraft is set to support the airline’s Manchester operation as it expands winter long-haul flying from the airport.
Virgin Atlantic plans nonstop winter services from Manchester to New York, Atlanta, Orlando and Barbados, alongside additional connectivity through partner airlines Delta Air Lines and Caribbean Airlines. The network also includes joint-venture routes via Amsterdam and Paris, extending the carrier’s reach beyond its own direct services. The registration choice reflects the airline’s Manchester ties, while the new A330neo will join a fleet that continues to grow around long-haul leisure and transatlantic demand from the UK regional base.
