Uzbekistan Airways selects Jiatai seats for new Airbus A321neo fleet

Uzbekistan Airways has chosen China’s Jiatai to supply passenger seats for more than 10 Airbus A321neo aircraft, making the carrier the launch customer for the JT220B Premium business-class seat. The deal covers cabins for the airline’s next-generation A321neo fleet and includes an in-flight entertainment system for the premium seat.

The supplier was selected under an agreement reached on 15 June 2026, and the first seat shipset is scheduled for delivery in March 2028. The new A321neo aircraft are expected to join the Uzbekistan Airways fleet from 2028 onwards, supporting the carrier’s wider cabin-modernisation and fleet-expansion plans.

The contract also gives Jiatai its first aircraft passenger-seat project in Central Asia. For Uzbekistan Airways, the choice extends its sourcing into Chinese cabin suppliers at a time when airlines are broadening the range of vendors used for new narrow-body interiors.
