TAAG Angola Airlines will launch a Luanda–Dakar–Praia service on 31 October 2026, restoring its Cape Verde link and creating a new West African triangle route. The operation is set to begin with the opening of the IATA winter 2026/27 season, connecting Angola, Senegal and Cape Verde on a single passenger service.
The route has cleared the necessary approvals from aviation authorities in the three countries and forms part of TAAG’s wider West Africa expansion. It will return the carrier to Praia after roughly a decade without service to Cape Verde, while also strengthening links between Lusophone markets and other regional destinations.
TAAG currently serves 13 domestic points and 12 international destinations, and the new routing extends its network beyond its existing African and intercontinental operations. The Luanda–Dakar–Praia pattern is a fifth-freedom style service that gives the airline a new commercial option on an underserved regional corridor.
