StandardAero has won a US Air Force contract to apply its Maintenance Insight predictive-maintenance tools to the F100-220 engine programme, which powers more than 175 F-15 aircraft. The award expands the company’s footprint in USAF fleet support and adds a fifth engine type to its predictive-maintenance work for the service.
The software package uses artificial intelligence, machine learning and digital-twin technology to analyse engine failure modes and generate outputs for maintenance planning. Hosted within the Air Force cloud environment, the system feeds real-time data into work-scope planning, deployment planning and preventive-maintenance decisions.
StandardAero has previously developed similar applications for the T56, J85, TF33 and TF39 engine fleets, giving it an established role in the USAF’s reliability and diagnostics effort. The latest contract is focused on predictive support for the F100-220 programme rather than depot maintenance, and no contract value or term was disclosed.
