STA Jets has agreed to acquire International Jet Aviation Services, expanding the Santa Ana, California-based private aviation group into the Rocky Mountain region. The Colorado operator provides charter, aircraft management and aircraft sales from a private terminal at Denver Centennial Airport, with a Part 135-certified fleet of 17 aircraft ranging from turboprops to large-cabin business jets.
Founded in 1979, International Jet became the first Learjet charter operator at Centennial Airport in 1980. Its fleet includes Learjet, Citation, Gulfstream, Hawker and King Air aircraft, supporting charter and management activities alongside aircraft sales. The company has also completed more than 10,000 medical transports over 25 years.
The transaction will extend STA Jets’ existing network, which includes John Wayne Airport, Van Nuys, San Jose, New York and Fort Lauderdale. It will add a Colorado operating base, aircraft capacity and services covering the ownership lifecycle from management and charter to sales.
STA Jets founder Kurt Belcher described the intended integration as a means of preserving International Jet’s operating legacy while providing greater scale, resources and network reach. Financial terms and a closing date were not disclosed.
