ST Engineering lifts H1 profit 27% as revenue hits S$6.57bn

ST Engineering reported a 27.1% rise in first-half net profit to S$512.1 million on revenue of S$6.57 billion, as stronger demand across its aerospace, defence and urban solutions businesses lifted performance in the six months to 30 June. The Singapore group also booked higher operating profit, supported by a more favourable business mix and lower finance costs.

Commercial Aerospace was the biggest contributor to growth, with revenue up 15% to about S$2.69 billion on engine maintenance, repair and overhaul work, nacelles and spares sales. Defence & Public Security revenue rose 7% to about S$2.82 billion, while Urban Solutions & Satcom increased 15% to about S$1.06 billion.

EBIT climbed to S$738.0 million, reflecting stronger operating execution across the portfolio. ST Engineering also declared a second-quarter interim dividend of S$0.05 per share, up from S$0.04 a year earlier.
