ST Engineering and Collins Aerospace deepen aircraft component support partnership

ST Engineering’s Commercial Aerospace business and Collins Aerospace have signed three multi-year agreements in Singapore to expand aircraft component support, including new repair work on Boeing 787 fan assembly electronics boards and broader access to spare parts and lifecycle repairs. The collaboration is designed to speed up turnaround times, improve repair-over-replacement options for airlines and strengthen support for narrowbody and widebody fleets.

Under the first agreement, ST Engineering will repair Collins fan assembly electronics boards used on the 787, adding a new capability intended to reduce line-replaceable unit repair times. A second deal expands ST Engineering’s access to Collins Power & Controls spare parts for its component MRO work, while also adding more narrowbody parts to its portfolio. The third agreement extends lifecycle repair support for Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 line-replaceable units through Collins’ FlightSense aftermarket programme.

ST Engineering said the wider scope supports its Maintenance-By-the-Hour offering and its in-house component MRO capabilities across the 787, 737 MAX and A320neo. Collins framed the collaboration as a way to give operators more agile MRO options and better fleet performance, while the companies combine OEM and MRO expertise to improve dispatch reliability and component availability.
