Textron Aviation displayed the special-missions variant of the Cessna SkyCourier on static display at the Farnborough International Airshow 2026, marking its first public airshow debut for this configuration. The aircraft, configured for Belgium’s Special Operations Forces under a five-unit order, represents the platform’s entry into the global defense market with capabilities for troop transport, logistics, medical evacuation, and crisis response. This debut follows Textron’s expansion of its East Wichita flight-test hangar to support rising demand, while the special-missions version distinguishes itself from the standard 19-seat cargo/passenger turboprop through mission-specific modifications including an in-flight operable door available from 2028. Deliveries to Belgium are scheduled for 2027, with modifications by Sabena Engineering preceding service entry in 2029.
