SITA has agreed to acquire Collins Aerospace Airport Solutions, the airport-technology business of RTX subsidiary Collins Aerospace. Announced in Geneva on 15 October, the transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2027, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary conditions. No purchase price or other financial terms were disclosed.
Collins Aerospace Airport Solutions provides technology supporting passenger processing, baggage handling and airport operations. Its portfolio includes check-in systems, self-service kiosks, bag-drop solutions, baggage technology, biometric identity and passenger-verification tools, and operational systems used in airport terminals.
The acquisition will broaden SITA’s airport-solutions offering and bring passenger processing, baggage handling and wider terminal operations into a more closely integrated portfolio. The combined capabilities are intended to support airports, airlines and other air-transport customers with more seamless and resilient services across the passenger and baggage journey.
The transaction remains subject to completion of the required regulatory reviews and fulfilment of customary closing conditions. SITA and Collins Aerospace did not disclose the expected financial structure or valuation of the deal.
