Singapore Airlines refreshes KrisWorld inflight entertainment offering

Singapore Airlines will progressively introduce an upgraded KrisWorld inflight-entertainment system from 2027 on 41 retrofitted Airbus A350-900 long-haul and ultra-long-range aircraft, together with its forthcoming Boeing 777-9 fleet. The system will combine 4K touchscreens, selected OLED displays, spatial audio and Bluetooth connectivity with a redesigned interface, while offering more than 2,500 films, television programmes, music and podcasts.

Screen sizes will vary by aircraft and cabin. First Class will receive displays of up to 32 inches, Business Class screens of up to 22 inches, Premium Economy on the 777-9 screens of up to 16 inches, and Economy Class 13-inch displays. The catalogue will include content from Apple TV, BBC, CNA, HBO Max, iQIYI and Paramount+, with monthly refreshes.

Passengers will be able to continue watching content in a mini-player while browsing, access flight information through an on-screen sidebar and receive personalised recommendations after signing in with KrisFlyer. Viewing history can be synchronised between flights, while a simplified Kids’ Mode and a wellness planner will provide family-oriented content, meditation and sleep tracks, breathing exercises and in-seat stretches.

The entertainment upgrade will coincide with the progressive introduction of Starlink broadband on selected A380, A350-900 and A350-900ULR aircraft from early 2027. The KrisWorld rollout will vary by aircraft and cabin, and Singapore Airlines has not specified a single completion date for the programme.
