Singapore Airlines will expand its codeshare arrangement with Lufthansa on the Frankfurt-Kuala Lumpur route from 25 October, adding its flight numbers to Lufthansa’s new long-haul service. Lufthansa plans to operate the route five times a week with a Boeing 787-9, opening another booking option on a key Europe-Asia corridor.
The move is a commercial network expansion rather than a new standalone service from Singapore Airlines. It gives travellers more choice when booking between Germany and Malaysia, while also broadening both carriers’ reach on a route that links two major aviation hubs. The expansion follows Lufthansa’s return to Kuala Lumpur as part of its wider winter 2026/27 network build-up.
