Sikorsky has chosen Česká letecká servisní, a.s. (CLS) as its first authorised European Union distribution centre for BLACK HAWK helicopter parts, placing the Czech-based company in charge of stocking and distributing components for S-70, UH-60M and UH-60A/L aircraft across the bloc. The new hub is designed to improve parts availability for Europe’s Black Hawk fleet, which exceeds 150 aircraft in EU service.
CLS, a member of the Czech Helicopter Alliance, will handle recommended high-demand items for operators in the region. Sikorsky completed a detailed review of quality, operational and policy requirements before naming the distributor. The European site joins an existing international network of authorised parts centres in South America, the Middle East and Asia.
The arrangement also supports maintenance and supply-chain planning for current European operators and future work linked to the Czech police aviation programme’s S-70 Firehawk activity.
