Saudia Cargo launches Dhaka-Frankfurt freighter route

Saudia Cargo has launched a new scheduled freighter service linking Dhaka and Frankfurt, with twice-weekly flights starting on 14 August. The route adds a direct cargo connection between Bangladesh and Germany as the carrier expands its international network with a focus on faster transit and more efficient logistics across the Asia-Europe trade lane.

Dhaka remains a key export point for garments, textiles, pharmaceuticals and perishables, while Frankfurt serves as one of Europe’s main air cargo hubs. The new service is positioned to support exporters moving time-sensitive freight into continental Europe through a major distribution gateway.

The route launch comes shortly after Saudia Cargo ordered four Boeing 777-200 freighters, a move that points to continued capacity expansion across its long-haul cargo operation. The additional aircraft are expected to support the carrier’s wider network growth as demand builds on major intercontinental trade corridors.
