Riyadh Air has flown its first domestic commercial service, linking Riyadh and Jeddah with a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on 14 June 2026. The sector move turns the carrier from launch-stage long haul trials into a live network operator on Saudi Arabia’s highest-density trunk route.
Flight HZ-RXAC left Riyadh King Khalid International at 09:18 local time and landed at Jeddah King Abdulaziz International shortly before 10:20. The service follows Riyadh Air’s first commercial passenger flight to London Heathrow on 10 June and precedes planned launches to Dubai, Cairo, Madrid and Manchester.
The domestic debut gives the airline immediate exposure on a slot-constrained market that will test utilisation, dispatch reliability and fleet integration from day one.
