Portuguese drone maker Beyond Vision closes €28 million Series A round

Portuguese unmanned-systems manufacturer Beyond Vision has completed a funding round of more than €28 million, co-led by Índico Capital Partners and Lince Capital. The financing will double the size of its production facility in Alverca do Ribatejo, near Lisbon, enabling output of approximately 500 to 800 drones per month while supporting expansion into defence, security and critical-infrastructure markets.

Existing investor ActiveCap, which backed Beyond Vision in 2024, also participated in the round. The company develops dual-use unmanned systems, including drones operated through artificial-intelligence-enabled control systems and swarm technologies, and has expanded into naval drones.

Beyond Vision will use the proceeds to increase industrial capacity, strengthen stocks of critical components and accelerate research and development. Priorities include advanced AI algorithms, swarm-operation capabilities and additional functions for its cloud-based management platform.

The company has also acquired premises in Trofa for its northern team, alongside expansion at its Alverca base. International growth is focused on Europe, the United States, Canada and Brazil. Beyond Vision is registered as a NATO supplier, while the investment in the company by Indico VC Fund II is supported by Portugal’s Recovery and Resilience Plan and European Union funding under NextGenerationEU.
