KLM deploys Carpatair A319 and A320 aircraft from Amsterdam

KLM has brought leased Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft from Romanian carrier Carpatair into service on routes from Amsterdam. The A319 was scheduled to operate from 1 November through at least 8 November, serving Bucharest, Copenhagen, Lisbon, Milan-Linate and Rome-Fiumicino. A Carpatair A320 had also operated KLM flights the previous week, including services to Bucharest and Rome-Fiumicino.

The aircraft provide temporary capacity for KLM’s European network, although the reason for the arrangement has not been specified. The A319 deployment covers five destinations, while the reported A320 operation was limited to Bucharest and Rome-Fiumicino routes.

KLM’s planned European departures from Amsterdam for the 2026/27 winter season were reduced in a schedule comparison between 30 August and 1 November. The later schedule listed 97,775 departures, down from 99,130, a decrease of 1,355 flights, or about 1.4%. The schedules are subject to change.
