Ontario International Airport has opened a larger passenger screening checkpoint in Terminal 2, adding two new lanes and a relocated secure exit corridor to lift throughput and reduce queueing. Similar upgrades are due in Terminal 4 soon, extending a checkpoint modernisation that also adds enhanced monitoring, document verification equipment, upgraded CCTV and digital information displays. The build targets faster passenger flow at a carrier mix airport that has been pushing capacity, dwell-time and security-processing efficiency in parallel. For operators and planners, the change is a direct terminal-side capacity gain, not a cosmetic refurb, with checkpoint geometry and lane count doing the heavy lifting.
