Norse Atlantic ASA has signed an ACMI agreement with Pakistan International Airlines for two Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, with flight operations expected to begin at the start of November 2026. Under the deal, Norse will supply the aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance, while PIA plans to use the jets to expand long-haul capacity between the UK and Pakistan.
The arrangement gives Norse a replacement source of contracted flying as it shifts further away from its own transatlantic operations and places more emphasis on third-party leasing work. Reuters reported that the deal helps offset the end of IndiGo’s wet-lease arrangement with the Norwegian airline, underscoring Norse’s push to preserve ACMI revenue.
For PIA, the agreement supports a wider network strategy centred on direct premium connectivity on UK-Pakistan services. The carriers did not disclose financial terms, and the route schedule has not been detailed beyond the indication that multiple UK-Pakistan destinations will be involved.
