Noemi Aerospace signs MoU for up to five electric amphibious aircraft with Philippine operator

Noemi Aerospace has signed a memorandum of understanding with Philippine seaplane operator Horizon Sun Charters for up to five electric amphibious aircraft, including three initially and options for two more. The non-binding deal covers plans to assess technical, financial and regulatory requirements for introducing the aircraft in the Philippines, alongside route planning and operational integration.

Horizon Sun Charters serves island and coastal destinations in Palawan, including El Nido and Coron, where amphibious aircraft could support services without conventional airport infrastructure. The arrangement also gives Noemi Aerospace a formal entry point into the Philippine market as it pursues wider expansion in Southeast Asia.

The aircraft involved are electric seaplanes designed for amphibious operations, a configuration that could lower operating costs while extending regional connectivity. The agreement remains focused on exploration and integration rather than a firm purchase commitment, leaving commercial deployment dependent on further work across certification, financing and network planning.
