Nav Canada will increase customer service charges for air navigation services from 1 September, lifting the average net rate by 1.92% across its Canadian network. The change includes an average Base Rate rise of 2.04% and an average Temporary Rate reduction of 2.25%, affecting airline and business aviation operators that pay for ATC services.
The Base Rate adjustment is aimed at recovering anticipated fiscal 2027 costs, while the Temporary Rate change is designed to reduce the pandemic-related RSA shortfall scheduled for recovery in fiscal 2027. The revised charges apply under the new pricing structure unless otherwise noted, and detailed rate tables are available separately.
For operators, the update feeds directly into ongoing operating costs and flight-planning budgets at a time when many carriers are watching unit cost trends closely.
