Nauru Airlines appoints Wendy Bowden as chief executive officer

Nauru Airlines has appointed Wendy Bowden as chief executive officer, returning her to the carrier after a long finance career inside the group and at Alliance Airlines. She previously spent 12 years as chief financial officer at Nauru Airlines and more recently seven years at Alliance, bringing more than 30 years across aviation, travel and tourism. The move aligns with a growth push centred on tighter Pacific connectivity, deeper regional partnerships and a broader network footprint. Bowden’s remit points to continuity in management and a more aggressive commercial posture across Brisbane, Nauru and the airline’s wider island-market operations.
