Mammoth Freighters Launches 777 P2F Conversion Line in Qingdao with STAECO

Mammoth Freighters has selected STAECO as its new conversion MRO partner to establish the first Asia-Pacific Boeing 777 passenger-to-freighter line in Qingdao, China. The facility opens September 2026 with a second line expected early 2027, responding to rising widebody freighter demand across the region. A Boeing 777-200LR from Jetran is scheduled for immediate arrival to become a 777-200LRMF, with the first two converted aircraft entering commercial service with Qatar Airways and DHL in fall 2026. This expansion follows Mammoth’s April 2026 FAA type certification for the 777-200LRMF and 777-300ERMF, completing its global 777 conversion network across the US, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
