Lufthansa has unveiled its first Airbus A350-1000, registration D-AIFA, at the Toulouse facility on 14 July 2026, marking the 700th Airbus delivered to the group and the airline’s entry into the -1000 variant. The aircraft features a special blue anniversary livery commemorating the 100th centenary in 2026 and will be christened “Deutschland” in a future ceremony. Final test flights, cabin outfitting, and regulatory approval remain before the physical handover and transfer flight to Munich, scheduled for autumn 2026. This unit is the first of 15 A350-1000s ordered, with deliveries through 2030, and will replace A340-600 missions while carrying 300 passengers in a four-class Allegris-configured cabin.
