LOT and Thai Airways plan codeshare partnership for summer 2027

LOT Polish Airlines and Thai Airways International have signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a codeshare partnership covering selected destinations in Europe, Asia and Oceania. The cooperation is planned to begin with journeys during the 2027 summer schedule, subject to regulatory approval, following the inauguration of LOT’s Warsaw–Bangkok route and creating additional connecting options through both carriers’ networks.

The planned arrangement would allow selected flights operated by either airline to be marketed and sold under the other carrier’s code and flight number. For LOT passengers, Bangkok would provide onward access to destinations in Thailand, Asia-Pacific and Oceania, while Thai Airways would gain additional connections into Europe through LOT’s Warsaw network.

The partnership would build on an existing interline agreement that already allows passengers to combine LOT and Thai Airways flights in a single journey. Both carriers are members of Star Alliance, enabling eligible passengers to receive applicable alliance benefits, including mileage earning on qualifying flights.

The MoU does not yet constitute an implemented codeshare. The airlines must sign a definitive agreement, obtain regulatory clearance and complete the necessary technical and operational preparations. Specific routes, flight numbers, schedules, commercial terms and the approval timetable have not been disclosed.
