Air Canada will launch seasonal nonstop service between Montréal and Seville on 8 September 2027, using Airbus A321XLR aircraft on what will be the Spanish city’s first direct transatlantic route. The service will begin with three weekly flights and increase to four from 1 October, giving Air Canada its fifth destination in Spain and its only nonstop connection between Seville and North America.
The route is scheduled to operate from September 2027 through early January 2028, before resuming in mid-February and continuing until early June. Montréal departures are scheduled for 20:30, arriving in Seville at 09:30 the following day. Return flights will leave Seville at 12:45 and reach Montréal at 14:40, with all times local.
Air Canada’s A321XLRs will offer 182 seats, comprising 14 lie-flat Signature Class seats and 168 in Economy. The aircraft’s long-range capability allows the airline to serve Seville with a narrow-body aircraft while matching capacity to the route’s seasonal demand.
The schedule is designed to support connections at Montréal to destinations across North America, the Caribbean and Latin America. Passengers travelling onwards to the United States can use customs preclearance at Montréal. Flights were available for booking at the time of the announcement, although schedules and operating details remain subject to change.
