LATAM and Turkish Airlines expand codeshare in Colombia

LATAM Airlines Colombia and Turkish Airlines have expanded their codeshare partnership in Bogotá, giving the Turkish carrier access to eight domestic routes across Colombia. The agreement links Turkish Airlines’ international service with LATAM’s internal network via Bogotá, with the arrangement centred on passengers arriving from Europe and Asia and connecting onward to Leticia, Montería, Pereira, Pasto, Neiva, Yopal, Riohacha and Ibagué.

The cooperation allows travellers to book a single reservation and ticket for journeys combining Turkish Airlines’ long-haul flights and LATAM Colombia’s domestic services, with coordinated baggage handling and smoother transfers in the Colombian capital. Turkish Airlines currently carries about 2,000 passengers a month to Colombia, giving the partnership immediate commercial relevance. The airlines described the move as an initial phase and will continue assessing further expansion in line with demand and customer needs.

The route structure also underlines Bogotá’s role as a hub for traffic between intercontinental arrivals and regional destinations. Turkish Airlines operates daily between Istanbul and Bogotá using Airbus A350-900 aircraft, providing the long-haul link that feeds the new domestic connections.
